Warehouse Lynx communicates with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and sorters to ensure items are correctly routed to their destination.
Using the web UI or API you can configure as many sortation modes as you require to alter the way your system runs. Sort modes determine how items should be routed around your facility and/or to which chute they should be despatch to. A sort mode can make use of:
- Reference data (managed in sort tables)
- Data collected from external sources such as your WMS, OMS, or ERP system
- Data collected by Warehouse Lynx such as areas of congestion and out-of-service equipment
Active sort modes can be changed at any time, without stoping and starting the system.
Every action taken by Warehouse Lynx is audited at the transport unit level. This lets you keep track of where every item currently is, and where it has been, as it progresses through each area / subsystem. It means you’ll never lose track of an item again.
This information is collated in dashboards to show you statistics such as: throughput, rejection rates, barcode read rates, and much more. As Warehouse Lynx is able to monitor all the equipment used in the processes, any active alarms can be viewed in the web UI and alerts can be triggered to get the attention of equipment operators via email, sms, or push notifications.
Over time machine learning algorithms create a model of how your operation usually performs. Alarms and alerts can be created if it is predicted that a breakdown looks likely, or if you’re operating outside of the usual boundaries.
