Volumetrics

Finding outliers and errors using weight and dimension information

Warehouse Lynx communicates directly with all major volumetric supplier’s equipment to capture items weight and/or dimensions.

Warehouse Lynx works with automated and semi-automated volumetric equipment, where the resulting information can be viewed with the web UI and integrated into other systems such as Product Information Managment (PIM) and your couriers.

Warehouse Lynx is able to compare whether actual weights and dimensions are within a configurable tolerance of their expected values. Warehouse Lynx also records additional metadata - such as whether the measurement was legal for trade - for each capture. This information can be used to make routing and sortation decisions for outliers.

Every action taken by Warehouse Lynx is audited at the transport unit level. This lets you keep track of what every items weight and dimensions were expected to be, and what they were measured to be.

This information is collated in dashboards to show you statistics such as: throughput, number of outliers, barcode read rates, legal for trade, and much more. As Warehouse Lynx is able to monitor all the equipment used in the processes any active alarms can be viewed in the web UI, alerts can be triggered to get the attention of equipment operators via email, sms, or push notifications.

Over time machine learning algorithms create a model of how your operation is usually performs. Alarms & alerts can be created if it is predicted that a breakdown looks likely, or if you’re operating outside of the usual boundaries.
